Background Information
In early 1999, Somarelang Tikologo was approached by Mr Ernest Bokete to help fund a business he wanted to start collecting used oil for recycling. Although Somarelang Tikologo was not in the position to fund private ventures, they felt it was a service that was very much needed in Botswana , and suggested that he approach the oil industry for financing. Mr Bokete approached several oil lubricant marketers for funding. He requested a meeting with Shell Oil Botswana , the largest lubricant marketer in the country, and asked Somarelang Tikologo to attend the meeting.
